Pemikiran Pendidikan Ki Hajar Dewantara dan Relevansinya Dengan Pendidikan Agama Islam Multikultural

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the thoughts of Ki Hajar Dewantara's education and its relevance to Multicultural Islamic Education. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Literature study with an emphasis on the notion of peeling, summarizing and collecting a literature, then the authors provide an analysis of the data that has been collected. The results showed that there were five principles of Ki Hajar Dewantara's education, namely 1) the principle of independence, 2), the principle of nationality, 3) the principle of humanity, 4) the principle of culture, and 5) the principle of natural nature. Then Ki Hajar Dewantara stated his attitude in regulating religious education in the student park as follows: a) The religion of each student and teacher is free, mutual respect; b) Religion is included as ethnicity (character); and c) In areas where the inhabitants live according to Islamic customs, it is permissible to give religious instruction during class hours but not by force. (Holidays according to their respective religions, for the Taman college students the majority of students use their religious customs). This shows that there is a relevance between Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational thoughts on Multicultural Islamic Education.
