Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Etika Digital: Upaya Preventif terhadap Cyberbullying di Kalangan Remaja
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the role of the internalization of Islamic moral values, the integration of technology in moral education, and the contribution of family and school environments in preventing cyberbullying among adolescents, as well as to examine this phenomenon from an Islamic perspective. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by reviewing relevant literature on Islamic education, digital ethics, and adolescent behavior in the digital era. The findings reveal that the internalization of Islamic moral values—such as empathy, honesty, and self-control—plays a significant role in shaping positive digital behavior and reducing the tendency toward cyberbullying. Furthermore, the integration of technology in Islamic moral education enhances the effectiveness of value transmission through media that are more relevant to adolescents’ daily lives. The family environment serves as the primary foundation for moral development, while schools reinforce these values through formal education, role modeling, and character-building practices. From an Islamic perspective, cyberbullying is considered a reprehensible act as it involves elements of mockery, backbiting, and injustice, which contradict the ethical principles of communication in Islam. Therefore, a holistic approach that integrates Islamic moral education, responsible use of technology, and the synergy of family and school environments is essential for effectively preventing cyberbullying among adolescents.
