Shalat sebagai Jeda Spiritual Profetik dalam Menghadapi Budaya Produktivitas Berlebih: Kajian Pustaka Integratif
Abstract
An excessive productivity culture encourages individuals to work, study, and pursue measurable outcomes with intensity, increasing the risk of burnout, temporal crisis, and disorientation regarding meaning. In contemporary Muslim life, prayer can be understood not only as a ritual obligation but also as a spiritually structured form of time that introduces regular pauses into daily rhythms. This article conceptualizes prayer in an era of hyperactivity as a prophetic spiritual pause. The study employs a qualitative, descriptive-exploratory approach through an integrative literature review. Data were drawn from academic literature, including journal articles, scholarly books, and research reports, on prayer, prophetic values, spiritual coping, burnout, workaholism, overcommitment, self-regulation, psychological recovery, the Pomodoro technique, and digital detox. The analysis involved literature reduction, thematic categorization, conceptual synthesis, argument comparison, theoretical interpretation, and conceptual model development. The synthesis indicates that prayer can serve as a regular pause that reorganizes attention, emotion, the body, and meaning. Prophetic values provide an ethical foundation for humanization, liberation, and transcendence in response to the culture of excessive productivity. The proposed Prophetic Spiritual Pause model integrates prayer, prophetic values, self-regulation, psychological recovery, and ethical resistance to burnout. The model offers practical implications for Islamic education, Islamic counseling, student support, and the development of more humane work cultures.
