Peran Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Dalam Formulasi Kebijakan Di Kabupaten Sinjai

Abstract

This research is entitled the role of the members of the Regional People's Representative Council in the formulation of policies in Sinjai Regency. The focus of the problems studied are: Design, Discussion, Determination and Socialization. This research was conducted at the DPRD Sinjai Regency. Based on the type of data, this research is qualitative research. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study were members of the District Legislative Council. Sinjai from each commission as well as the Secretary of the Council. The data analysis technique used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this study state that: (1) The role of council members in the draft regional regulations is evidenced by the existence of local regional regulations produced in recent years but the implementation of initiative rights has not been fully optimal; (2) The role of board members in discussing a policy depends on the participation of council members in participating as members of the special committee in the process of discussing a policy; (3) The role of board members in the determination process must carry out a review, evaluation and comparative study of a policy to be determined; (4) DPR members have an obligation to disseminate the policies that have been determined to the public but have not yet disseminated specific regional regulations that are included in the annual work plan.
