Perlindungan Hukum terhadap Pekerja Disabilitas yang Mengalami Diskriminasi

Abstract

In the eyes of the law, people with impairments are in the same position. They are eligible to receive legal protection. Every person who has long-standing physical, intellectual, mental, or sensory limitations and faces challenges to fully engage in society is considered to be a person with a disability. Society often assumes that people with disabilities cannot adapt to the world of work because they have deficiencies or special needs that they experience. This stigma circulating in society makes it difficult for those with disabilities to obtain a job. Therefore, this study aims to determine the implementation of the legal protection given to Workers with disabilities in Indonesia. The method used by the author is a normative legal research method that implements the concept of literature as written in laws and regulations or laws that have been conceptualized as rules or norms. The results of the study found that people with disabilities have the right to get a fair opportunity to get a job without Discrimination and to obtain equal positions, rights, and obligations.
