Abstract

In the election process, the KPU must ensure that there is stricter supervision by the Election Supervisory Body in every stage of the election, including supervision of polling stations (TPS) and the vote counting process. However, in election practice, there have been a number of reports of various forms of fraud, such as double voting, vote inflation, voter intimidation, and data manipulation. This experience is an indicator that fraud still exists and must be watched out for. This study aims to analyze the strategy of the General Election Commission (KPU) in minimizing election fraud. This type of research uses empirical research that focuses on understanding social phenomena and community behavior in the context of elections, especially fraud. The results of the study indicate that the election eld in 2024 in Indonesia is faced with various challenges that are still quite significant to minimize fraud, including fraud that can disrupt the integrity of the democratic process. In an effort to minimize fraud in the 2024 Election, the KPU has taken various strategic steps, strengthening internal supervision, cooperation with the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), and increasing transparency and accountability are the main focuses of the KPU to ensure the integrity of the election implementation. Socialization and education to election organizers at the local level and the community have been carried out to minimize the potential for fraud and increase public awareness of the importance of clean, transparent, honest and fair elections. In addition, other strategic steps with the involvement of the community and stakeholders in election supervision are also an important aspect in preventing fraud, while also showing that synergy between various parties is needed to create democratic elections.
