Makkokkong Ana’ Lolo Dalam Pemeliharaan Anak Menurut Hukum Islam (Studi Kebiasaan Masyarakat Bugis Bone Desa Lamukurung Kecamatan Tellusiattinge)
Abstract
The research discusses Makkokkong Ana’ Lolo in child care according to Islamic law, focusing on the Bugis Bone community in Lamurukung Village, Tellusiattinge District. It examines how Islamic law views the practice of Makkokkong Ana’ Lolo and its implementation in this community. The research aims to understand the perspective of Islamic law on this practice and to investigate how it is conducted among the Bugis Bone community. Using qualitative and field research methods, the study employs three approaches: historical, sociological, and theological. The findings reveal that the practice of Makkokkong Ana’ Lolo aligns with Islamic law, as it is performed as an expression of gratitude to Allah SWT and as a prayer for the wellbeing and future success of children. This tradition fosters social connections, allowing community members to meet, share news, and strengthen relationships that might otherwise be neglected in daily life. In a society often preoccupied with busyness, Makkokkong Ana’ Lolo offers a meaningful occasion for gathering, sharing joy, and enhancing community bonds. The practice embodies a rich philosophy beyond mere ritual, starting with the bathing ritual symbolizing the cleansing of the baby and the dressing in new clothes representing abundance for the future. Ultimately, this tradition not only preserves cultural heritage but also reinforces community resilience and faith, demonstrating that cultural practices aligned with Shari'a can thrive without conflict with religious beliefs.
