Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of education in Gowa Regency by examining the aspects of equitable access and school quality. In the context of educational decentralization, ensuring equal quality of education remains a significant challenge in the region. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate a persistent disparity between schools in urban and rural areas, particularly in terms of teacher distribution, infrastructure, and academic achievement. The study recommends the need for targeted policy interventions to improve equitable access and the overall quality of education across all areas of Gowa Regency.
