Nilai-Nilai PAI dalam Tradisi Pajhimatan Masyarakat Bawean Carabaka
Abstract
The Pajhimatan tradition is a cultural practice that has been passed down from generation to generation in Carabaka Hamlet, Bawean Island. This tradition has strong spiritual and social meanings, serves as a form of respect for ancestors and strengthens togetherness in the community. This study aims to identify and analyze the values of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) contained in the Pajhimatan tradition and its contribution to the religious and social life of the local community. This research uses a qualitative approach with field research methods, through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the Pajhimatan tradition contains various PAI values, such as friendship, mutual cooperation, and local wisdom. One of the important elements in this ritual is the search for tole water, which is believed to have spiritual meaning and follows certain customary rules. This tradition also plays a role in maintaining the cultural identity of the Bawean people as well as being a means of learning religious values in everyday life. Thus, Pajhimatan is not just a religious ritual, but also a symbol of cultural preservation and moral education that continues to be passed down to future generations
