Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of inclined plane mat media can improve the learning process and skills of students in learning front rolls in floor gymnastics. The research method used to answer the research objectives is the classroom action research method or classroom action research. Many students have not completed the pre-cycle, this can be seen after the pre-cycle is implemented. The results of the reflection on cycle I are as follows: from a total of 30 students, there were 4 students who were able to meet the learning completion limit with a very good description with a percentage of 13.33%, 6 students who were able to meet the learning completion limit with a good description with a percentage of 20%, 10 students who were able to meet the learning completion limit with a sufficient description with a percentage of 33.33% and there were 8 students who had not been able to meet the learning completion limit with a description of less with a percentage of 27%, and 2 students with a description of very less with a percentage of 7% there was a change in student learning motivation but it was not significant at the stage of cycle I so it was continued to the stage of cycle II, After the reflection was carried out in cycle II, the results were obtained, namely, it was known that the learning outcomes of class VIII D students of SMPN 6 Palu after cycle II had increased in the Psychomotor domain (Skills), from a total of 30 students, there were 6 students who were able to meet the learning completion limit with a very good description with a percentage of 20%, 10 students who were able to meet the learning completion limit with a good description with a percentage of 33.33%, 12 students were able to meet the learning completion limit with the statement sufficient with a percentage of 40% and 2 students were not able to meet the learning completion limit with the statement insufficient with a percentage of 7%.

The increase in students' skills in performing forward roll skills is due to the influence of the application of learning aids. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the application of aids in learning has been proven to improve forward roll skills.
