Internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Religius pada Peserta Didik di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTS N) 2 Bandar Lampung

Abstract

Religious values in schools refer to the principles, teachings, and behaviors related to faith and belief systems that are integrated into the educational environment. The internalization of these values is a crucial task for students, yet the process often faces challenges due to a disconnect between religious teachings in schools and prevailing social realities. Students may experience confusion when the norms promoted by educational institutions contrast sharply with societal behavior. This study aims to analyze the internalization of religious values among students at MTs N 2 Bandar Lampung. It employs a qualitative case study approach, using observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The validity of the data was ensured through triangulation, and the data analysis involved data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the internalization of religious values among students at MTs N 2 is conducted through religious extracurricular activities such as Rohis and Mabit. Activities including congregational Dhuha prayers, regular Quranic recitation, tadabbur of the Qur’an, significantly enhance students' discipline in worship, foster a sense of togetherness, and instill Islamic moral values. Additionally, Mabit activities, which involve self-reflection and introspection (muhasabah), provide students with opportunities to contemplate the meaning of life and the relevance of religious values in their daily lives.
