Evaluasi Efektivitas Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi (KBK) dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Praktis Peserta Didik
Abstract
This research aims to examine the evaluation of the effectiveness of the competency-based curriculum (KBK) in improving students' practical skills. The curriculum is a key element that determines the direction and quality of learning. Competency-based curriculum (KBK) is an approach that aims to equip students with relevant competencies, not only in the aspect of knowledge, but also skills and attitudes. KBK focuses on achieving specific competencies that can be applied practically in everyday life and the world of work. This research uses a qualitative approach and data collection is carried out by means of observation, interviews and document study. The research results show that the implementation of a competency-based curriculum significantly contributes to increasing students' practical skills in problem solving. Obstacles were also found such as limited practical facilities, lack of training for teachers and differences in levels of preparation between educational institutions. This research recommends strengthening educational infrastructure and continuous training for teaching staff to optimize the potential of a competency-based curriculum
