Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of collaborative learning methods on the learning achievement of high school students. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (quasi-experiment), involving 60 grade X students who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were obtained through learning achievement tests before and after the intervention (pre-test and post-test) and observations of student activities. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental group using the collaborative learning method and the control group using the traditional method. The experimental group recorded an increase in average scores of 25%, while the control group was only 10%. These findings indicate that collaborative learning not only improves academic outcomes but also student engagement in the learning process. This study concludes that collaborative learning methods are effective in improving the learning achievement of high school students. It is recommended that this method be integrated more widely into the learning process to support the development of 21st century skills, such as collaboration and critical thinking.
