Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership of the madrasah principal in strengthening the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Hidayatul Mubtadiin Jati Agung, South Lampung Regency. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study type. Research informants consisted of the madrasah principal, vice-principal, teachers, education staff, and foundation representatives selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was carried out through source triangulation, technical triangulation, and member checking. The results of the study indicate that madrasah principals implement visionary leadership through clear vision communication, teacher involvement in decision-making, and teacher empowerment as the main strategy for organizational development. This strategy has an impact on increasing teachers' Organizational Citizenship Behavior, demonstrated through higher initiative, willingness to help colleagues, active participation in various madrasah programs, and increased commitment to the institution's progress. These findings confirm that visionary, participatory, and empowerment-oriented leadership can build a collaborative organizational culture and strengthen teachers' organizational citizenship behavior. The implications of the study indicate that strengthening Organizational Citizenship Behavior can be done through developing madrasah principal leadership that encourages participation, open communication, empowerment of human resources, and the formation of a positive work culture that supports improving the quality of education in madrasahs.
