Abstract

The global environmental crisis, marked by extreme climate change, air pollution, deforestation, and ecosystem degradation, urgently requires a new paradigm that integrates spiritual, social, and theological dimensions. This study aims to formulate an Islamic-based ecological spirituality model through the integration of sufisme values, da‘wah practices, and the principles of Islamic ecotheology. The research applies a qualitative approach using library research analyzed through content and thematic analysis to identify ecological themes within contemporary literature. The findings indicate that sufisme contributes to inner awareness by cultivating values of zuhd, rasa cukup, and maḥabbah; da‘wah serves as a medium of social transformation through programs such as pesantren hijau, masjid ramah lingkungan initiatives, and community-based digital da‘wah; while ecotheology provides normative legitimacy grounded in the concepts of wakil Allah di bumi, tatanan seimbang, amānah, and the prohibition of perusakan. The synergy of these three dimensions creates a paradigm of ecological spirituality that is not only theoretically relevant but also practically applicable in responding to current and future environmental challenges.
