Peran Dosen Tarbiyah dalam Membangun Wawasan Keislaman Moderat di Kalangan Mahasiswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dosen Tarbiyah dalam membangun wawasan keislaman moderat di kalangan mahasiswa perguruan tinggi Islam. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari meningkatnya tantangan intoleransi, radikalisme, dan pemahaman keagamaan yang cenderung tekstual di kalangan pelajar, yang menuntut penguatan nilai-nilai moderasi umat beragama dalam proses pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan yang dipadukan dengan kajian kepustakaan, serta pendekatan fenomenologis untuk menggali pengalaman dosen Tarbiyah dalam menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai wasathiyyah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Fa kultas Tarbiyah Institut Agama Islam (IAI) YAPNAS Jeneponto. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosen Tarbiyah berperan sebagai pendidik nilai (value pendidik) yang menanamkan prinsip keadilan, keseimbangan, dan toleransi melalui pembelajaran yang dialogis dan kontekstual; sebagai teladan moderasi (uswah hasanah) yang tercermin dalam sikap inklusif dan terbuka terhadap perbedaan; serta sebagai penggerak budaya akademik moderat yang mendorong terciptanya iklim kampus yang kondusif bagi dialog, kolaborasi, dan internalisasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peran dosen Tarbiyah sangat penting sebagai agen perubahan dalam membentuk mahasiswa yang beriman, berakhlak mulia, toleran, dan berwawasan keislaman moderat dalam menghadapi tantangan global dan arus ideologi ekstrem.
