Keywords: The Role of Language, Text, and Islamic Economic Thought

Abstract

The aim of this article was to analyze the relationship between the role of language in development of Islamic economic thought. The article used library research method. Furthermore, it was analyzed based on the relationship between two foundations in terms of the role of language development contained in the Tafsir Al-Mishbah and terms of historical chronological texts of the development of Islamic economic thought from the era of Rasulullah to Contemporary Islam in Janwari literature. The results of the analysis of the role of language in a series of long histories are relevant to support the texts of Islamic economic thought gave birth to economic term system that continue to develop following the conditions of contemporary development and human basic needs until now.
