The Implementation of Education Character in Improving Students' Personal Quality at MTs Ma'arif 7 Purbolinggo
Abstract
This study explores the implementation of character education to enhance students' self-quality at MTs Ma'arif 7 Purbolinggo. Conducted as a qualitative research study, the findings reveal three key aspects. First, Aqidah Akhlak teachers develop learning plans aimed at character building by incorporating media into their instructional designs. The planning process involves preparing strategies for using learning materials and various teaching methods aligned with the set objectives. Second, the application of Aqidah Akhlak instruction in shaping students' character follows established rules and guidelines within the educational framework. This structured approach ensures that character development is systematically integrated into the learning process. Third, the evaluation of Aqidah Akhlak instruction is conducted through various assessment methods, including teacher-assigned tasks, daily tests, mid-term (UTS) scores, and final exams (UAS). The implementation of character education by subject teachers at MTs Ma'arif 7 Purbolinggo has yielded significant results, fostering key aspects of self-quality among students. These aspects include noble character, independence, discipline, and self-confidence. However, while some students exhibit strong self-quality across all four dimensions, others display only partial development in these areas.
